Abencerrajes

The constitution of the Abencerrajes Group was approved by the Festival Board on November 12, 1980, but its definitive growth did not occur until 1986, the year in which the group received a large influx of festival-goers from the Marineros, Almogávares and Estudiantes groups, with the modification of the Statutes and the gala attire.

Since then, its growth has been unstoppable, and it is currently one of the largest groups in our Moors and Christians Festivals.

The design of her current evening dress is the work of Flor Azorín, using white, black and gold as the only colours. The djellaba adopts the classic shapes of this Moorish attire in our parties, combining green, black and white stripes.
