The Society of Festers of the Most Holy Christ of the Agony and Carsof Security Systems are once again betting on photography as one of the best ways to preserve and spread the essence of the Moors and Christians Festivals of Ontinyent, with a new edition of the 2026 Party Photography Contest, which will distribute more than 1,450 euros in prizes. The Society of Festers of the Most Holy Christ of the Agony calls for a new edition of the 2026 Party Photography Contest, with the collaboration of Carsof Security and Telematics Systems, an initiative that seeks to capture and highlight, through photography, the moments, emotions and details that make the Moors and Christians Festivals of Ontinyent unique.
The contest will feature two categories and will distribute a total of 1,450 euros in prizes.
The category MULTIACTS, sponsored by Carsof Security and Telematics Systems, will have three prizes of €500, €300 and €150. In this category, photographs taken during any of the events of the official program of the Ontinyent Moors and Christians Festival 2026 may be submitted, such as the Children's Entrance, the Dianas on Saturday and Sunday, the Descent of Christ, the Contrabando, the Moorish and Christian Embassies or religious events, among others. Photographs of the Moorish and Christian Entrance are excluded from this category.
The category ENTRY, sponsored by the Society of Festers of the Most Holy Christ of the Agony, will have a one-time prize of €500 and will be dedicated exclusively to photographs taken during the Mora and Christian Entrades d'Ontinyent in 2026.
The contest is open to people over 18 years old, both professionals and amateurs, who may present a maximum of five photos per category, in color or black and white. The same photograph may not participate in both categories.
The participation period will be open. until October 30, 2026. Works must be sent exclusively by mail. secretaria@morosycristianos.eu, using a Dropbox, Google Drive or similar platform link that does not have an expiration date. Temporary or expired links, such as those generated by WeTransfer, SwissTransfer or similar platforms, will not be accepted.
With this call, the Festers Society and Carsof reinforce their commitment to the Festival photography as a tool to preserve, disseminate and share the visual and emotional richness of the Moors and Christians Festivals of Ontinyent.
