Moros Berberiscos
A bit of history...
They first appeared at the Ontinyent festivals in 1920 and originally sought to bring together the local shoemakers' guild. The first sketch of clothing was made by the Ontinyent artist Carlos Tormo “Carlets”.
Essentially, the barbarian clothing has not undergone any changes and consists of a white dalmatic with brown fringes and trimmings, a wide green sash and a turban hat with a cape. They wear a cape and their shoes are also green. This outfit is complemented by the traditional accessories, which are the necklace and bracelets and finally the musket.
The everyday clothing is a striped djellaba on a grey background and the traditional occasional hat.
