In the serene atmosphere of the Hermitage of Santa Ana, an act of profound meaning takes place every year: the Mass in suffrage of the deceased festival-goers. When the sun begins to tint the horizon with its golden tones, the echo of the carcasses resonate in the air, announcing to the population the beginning of this emotional meeting.

On the esplanade of Santa Ana at the doors of the hermitage and under the watchful eye of our Morenet, the Most Holy Christ of the Agony, are the Captains, Ambassadors, Ambassadors and First Trons, the Governing Board of the Society and the Municipal Corporation, as well as a large number of faithful to attend the celebration of the holy mass, all united in prayer and memory.

The act takes place with solemnity, marked by the soft notes of sacred music and the comforting words of the parish priest of the Royal Parish of San Carlos Borromeo and religious advisor of the Society. In this mass, prayers are said in honor of all the festival-goers who, although physically absent, remain alive in the collective memory of the entire community. It is a moment of reflection, homage and gratitude towards all those who contributed with their joy and dedication to enrich our Moors and Christians festivals.

The Mass in suffrage of the deceased festival-goers is more than a religious act, it is a tribute full of emotion and respect towards those who were a fundamental part of the history of our festivals. In this space of recollection, the community unites in a gesture of love and recognition, keeping the flame of their memory alive in each prayer and in each heart that beats to the rhythm of the celebration.
